About Us

CHIRANOOTANA URBAN AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY is a compassionate and forward-thinking non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to catalyzing positive change in the lives of rural communities in the Chikkamagaluru and Hassan districts of Karnataka, India. Established by a group of dedicated young professionals, CHIRANOOTANA emerged from the collective vision of like-minded individuals who sought to transform their personal experiences and expertise into a tangible force for the betterment of society. Our organization is firmly rooted in principles of social responsibility, sustainability, and community empowerment.

WHO WE ARE

CHIRANOOTANA URBAN AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY is a social, non-political, Non-profit voluntary organization with committed and dedicated young professionals. CHIRANOOTANA has been a creation of likeminded individuals, who have culminated their individual experiences into Reforming making it a reliable and sustainable option for prosperity creation for the community.

The organization is functioning in two districts of Karnataka namely Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Udupi, Tumkur and Hassan With major focus on Agriculture, Health, Livelihood, Youth Development and Water management in Agriculture Chiranootana Prepare young potential farmers, Technical knowledge given to Sustainable Agriculture, research and experimentation, promotion of kitchen gardens, livestock management rain fed farming in other fields are community health, drinking water and sanitation, rain water harvesting, formation and strengthening of community based organization (SHG,FIG,JLG) Organic farming committees, Societies and farmer Clubs. In Youth Development field we are tie-up with Nehru Yuva Kendra (which as coming under Ministry of Sports Government of India) as a Youth Club We train and up skills Of Youths in Agriculture, livelihood activities. What We Do

Our Multifaceted Approach to Community Development

CHIRANOOTANA engages in a wide range of activities to address the diverse needs of our communities. From beekeeping entrepreneur development to promoting responsible animal husbandry practices, we work across various sectors, including agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and beekeeping.

Our initiatives extend to water conservation, youth empowerment, healthcare support, and the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We believe in nurturing the minds of the future, which is why we actively support needy children’s education, establish rural libraries, and offer student night classes. We also celebrate national days and are involved in forest land improvement activities for environmental conservation.
